Incorporated in 1977, Teong Chuan Plastic (M) Sdn Bhd was founded by Mr Chuah Boon Ghee. At the start, the business was focused primarily on producing polypropylene plastic strings. Over the decades, Teong Chuan diversified its offerings but remained insistent on quality and customer service, which have cemented its reputation as a brand that represents a standard of excellence.

Today, it continues to expand and grow as one of the leading brands and producers of plastic packaging and products, both in the domestic and international markets.

The Story of Teong Chuan

1977

Teong Chuan was established. It started producing polypropylene plastic strings on a small scale.

1979

Diversified into the manufacturing High-density Polythene (HDPE) bags. Teong Chuan emerged as one of the pioneering manufacturers in HDPE bags.

2005

Teong Chuan started its foray into the export market.

2010

Teong Chuan expanded its factory by acquiring the space opposite its initial location. The factory spanned across three acres, with a production capacity of about 15,600 metric tons per year.

Present

Teong Chuan is now one of the most established plastic packaging companies in Malaysia, supplying its products to both local and international markets. It currently exports its products to Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, Europe and United State of America.

With a workforce of approximately 300 workers and operators, supplemented by a capable team of highly trained technicians and managed by a team of professionals, the company is growing faster than ever. To date, Teong Chuan has amassed more than 170 units of machinery, each housed within their 5-acre factory in Port Klang, to support and allow a production capacity of approximately 27,500 metric tons per annum.

With a strong foothold in the industry, Teong Chuan continues to expand and grow as one of the leading brands and producers of plastic packaging and products, both in the domestic and international markets.
